Update
In the past, NSWOC has consisted of a single, 2-week course that, depending on the course selected, allowed cadets to earn a SEAL, SWCC, or EOD breast badge at the completion of the training. We are now sharing the changes in the requirements to earn one of these coveted “pins.”
There are several reasons for this decision, one being that “anything worth having is worth working for.”
NSWOC was originally created with the intent of providing skills and experiences to better prepare cadets for the rigors of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) training. Our intent has expanded. Rather than one specific goal, we have grown our efforts to teach skills that will prepare these young Americans for life; whether joining the military or not. We believe our actions to enhance the experience will allow cadets to have more opportunities to learn and train in some of the most physically and mentally demanding trainings Sea Cadets has to offer. The NSWOC staff is also excited to have more opportunities to mentor the next generation of leaders willing to accept our challenge.
